What and how

  • We believe that brands tell stories and represent promises – promises that are formed in the minds of stakeholders over time. By taking control of your brand, you are effectively influencing the way that people think and feel about your organisation, services or products and the way that they subsequently interact with it.

    For us, branding is a process of simplification – taking all of the complexities of your organisation and distilling down to a series of simple, compelling and engaging messages. Our working process is therefore very inclusive and we work very closely with all of our clients to understand their business and their objectives before getting underway.

  • We have a tried and tested process which we use as a sort of route map and which can be tailored to each individual client and requirement. There are 6 stages in total which cover the entire working process from identifying stakeholders and their needs through the development of a brand framework, brand identity, roll-out across your marketing communications environment and on-going brand management and guardianship thereafter.

    We work for clients big and small, some well known, some less so and from a wide range of industry sectors. Sometimes its about evolving what they've got, sometimes is about re-positioning and sometimes its about starting with a blank sheet of paper.

  • Brands have many touchpoints and the best brands are consistent across all. We believe that your on-screen brand should be a natural extension of the overall experience so we work hard to make this happen. In particular, we believe that websites should deliver value to a business and therefore we work closely with our clients to understand what they need their digital environment to deliver. Lastly, we never put the technology ahead of the user experience. Good digital design is about functionality and usability but this ultimately has to be useful to the customer – we're interested in fit for purpose as well as return on investment.

  • We deliver digital design that ensures connection to your brand and adds value to the customer experience. This could be about a content managed website, an employee intranet, on-screen presentation template, HTML email templates, video presentation or mobile application. We design the creative concepts, architecture, user interface and navigation and work either in-house or with a trusted technology partner to deliver the build and implementation. We also provide managed solutions such as hosting and support.

  • The starting point is about understanding what you need your digital environment to deliver. Often, we provide our own insights into this based on our experience, research, competitive analysis and technical expertise and from here define the strategy to inform the project. The design phase comes next and its at this stage that we'll define look and feel, functionality, usability and how your brand translates in a digital context. Lastly, the development phase is about the technical realisation of the design. This includes architecture development, content creation and migration, build and testing.

    Most of the digital work that we undertake forms part of a larger project and the emphasis is always on ensuring a joined-up brand experience across all of the elements we're creating.

  • We take stunning, engaging and compelling pictures that are unique to our clients and which therefore give them real stand-out in their market. Sometimes we shoot on location, sometimes we shoot products in our studio, sometimes we take portrait shots in our clients offices. Whatever the subject matter, the emphasis is always on using the camera to tell stories and communicate the essence of our clients businesses. We usually look to capture images that fall into two categories: Brand imagery – shots that help to show the big picture of what our clients are all about, and detail shots which aim to bring attention to particular elements. Throughout, we're looking to build a comprehensive library which our clients can own and utilise across the whole of their marketing environment.

Most of the photography we undertake forms part of a branding, communications or digital project but we also occasionally undertake self initiated work for no other reason than to capture beautiful and interesting images.
